Santas Helper Helping underprivileged children in Clay, Putnam and Owen counties during the holidays and throughout That first year I had 46 on my list for 1 school.

In 1992 my son came home from school and asked if he could give these kids at his school some of his Christmas presents because they were not going to have a Christmas. At that point I decided to take a look at our community and what I saw saddened me to the point that I wanted to make a change. I went to the school and spoke with the counselor and got a list of names of the children on free and r

educed text books and got it started. Now in 2013 I have several schools, 3 counties and a mental health organization. The number of kids have grown over the years to over 1000 and I won't give up now. My son has passed since we started but I am sure he would be amazed at how just that question had developed into what it is today.
