Entering year four of the Five-Year Outdoor Recreation Master Plan (2022-2026), our Endowment is making great progress. Every penny contributed increases our support for things such as the Putnam County Mural Project and Putnam County Winter Wonderland Lights Festival. This funding also applies to maintaining and developing People Pathways and hosting events like Vulture Vista and Pedal Putnam.

Membership for 2025 is open now. This year, we offer another incredible membership magnet based on work by local artist Matt Rees. Individuals and businesses may become members by making a donation at the following link:

Friends of the Park of Putnam County has a $500,000 goal by the end of 2026. This endowment will financially fund, in perpetuity, outdoor recreation development around the county. Events such as the Winter Wonderland Lights Festival and Celebrate 4 and projects such as expanding People Pathways and developing Camp Friend are great examples of how our dollars are put to work.

On the brink of Small Business Saturday, we'd like you to consider making a purchase from a different type of "Small" vendor.

Artist Matt Rees has worked with Friends of the Park over the past year to create this incredible series of woodblock prints. Each contributes a portion to the county's Outdoor Recreation Endowment while also supporting Matt and his work.

Visit his website, make a purchase, and feel good that you are supporting a local artisan as well as Putnam County's outdoor future.

During this time of thanks, join us and make an impact in Putnam County.

Giving Tuesday, on December 3rd, is just around the corner. On that day we hope to spread the word to new ears about our mission and our goal. Help us by sharing this post or this link: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/friends-of-the-park-association-of-putnam-county-inc/giving-tuesday-2024

Donations made to Friends of the Park on Giving Tuesday grow the Outdoor Recreation Endowment for Putnam County.

What does that Endowment do?

It aids in repairing and improving People Pathways.
It funds, and aids in the growth of Celebrate 4.
It assists with planning for the development of county parks.
It helps events like Pedal Putnam and the A.I.M. National Slingshot Tournament.
It brings groups like the Big Walnut Bird Club together.

There are many things that the Outdoor Recreation Endowment does, and many more things it will do.

Be a part of the growth this year by making a contribution on Giving Tuesday.
