We wanted to give a quick update on the parks and our fundraising efforts 👇

We’re getting really close to funding a fishing dock at Greenbrier Lake and starting improvements out there.

And there’s a good chance we could have a basketball court at Louise Martin Park by the end of 2026 thanks to some strong support.

But we’ve still got more we want to build:

Pickleball courts
Baseball field
Shade over bleachers
More seating and park upgrades

The Brier Park partners is needing help! We need some more volunteers to help us with different things, such as helping us on the day of fundraising events, and helping us plan events, but we also need some help with grants and general fundraising, like putting together some short videos of the parks and renderings of some of the projects that we want to tackle. Some of this might be something a High Schooler would want to help with and would count toward community service hours that they may need. Imagine visiting the Greenbrier Lake and having a real fishing dock to fish from, we can make that happen this spring. We just need the community to help push it over the finish line.

There are over 5,000 families in the 37073 area. If just 400 families gave $100, the dock would be fully funded and ready to go.

A fishing dock means more things for families to do close to home and a great spot for kids, teens, and grandparents to enjoy the lake.
