The 2023 season is just around the corner. Here is the new Mellow Motors Cycling Team clothing. We have gone back to the dark blue, changing out the neon yellow with a lighter blue trim.

As in the past, you go to the store and place your order. Once the store closes the order goes in to production in Italy. Then it is 8 to 12 weeks to delivery.

I am shooting for closing store and getting order moving in early January......so get those orders in !

Past experience shows that the clothing tends to run small. The store has a sizing guide and I have ordered a sizing kit with all sizes of jerseys, bib shorts, etc available to try on. I highly recommend you try before you buy. The sizing kit will be at Mellow Motors, 34 Rich Street, Greenbrae, 94904. Please reach out to Liz at 415-924-2211 and make sure she will be available to set you up. There is a nice, clean bathroom/changing room for your convenience. The shop will be closed for the week of 12/26 - 12/30.

50th Anniversary jersey.

So digging thru the archives I've come up with what I believe may be the earliest known photo of Mellow Motors. Taken in 1972 at our original location on Belvedere Street in San Rafael. The building was located behind what is now Tacos el Ramiron, it was one of the original quonset huts from the long gone San Francisco Bay Airport. We were at this location for 6 months before moving to the Greenbrae location in the neighborhood that we are still located in. Pictured are the original founders, Ric Kellen and Chas Blackford, sitting on Chas' 36 Oldsmobile. The Alfa Romeo to the right belonged to the third original founder, Larry Buskirk.

Well we made it. Fifty years as a Marin destination for automotive care. It's been quite a journey and we want to thank all of you out there who have supported us over the years. Oh, and we do plan on sticking around for awhile longer !

The Cyclocross World Championships are back in the U.S.
Starting next week the best 'cross racers in the world descend on Fayetteville, Arkansas for the World Championships. A rare opportunity for our US based athletes to race the best on home soil. If you can't make it to Arkansas it will be televised in the US on the Global Cycling Network.
