Per requests from blind Greenbelt community members, CDCG held sessions with sighted, blind and low-vision persons to create a pathway forward to truly inclusive meetings. This proposal, https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LHMuuYa4SYfELg3jM6BWr3YWuuOciG8aVoLhwXpr_ZE/edit?usp=sharing which contains all the participant feedback, is intended for use by EVERYONE. It is our hope and intention that the outlined practices are incorporated into meetings held throughout Greenbelt (and beyond) and become standard operating procedure.

TWO SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: (1) We are excited to announce new officers to the CDCG Board! Effective immediately, Murat Aytekin, Ph.D in neuroscience and cognitive sciences, will assume the role of Director/Board Chair. He is a long-time student and supporter of Dynamic Community Governance and has participated in a number of Greenbelt specific events to promote CDCG. Angeline Butler, MS, is a long-time and active member of the Greenbriar community and a strong supporter of CDCG because it ensures that everyone is heard and respected. Her background includes systems programming at Goddard and serving our community as a science teacher. We are delighted to have her serve as Co-Secretary/Treasurer along with Patience Robbins, MA, who has been attracted to the work of CDCG since moving to Greenbelt in 2016. Patience is inspired by the work of CDCG because it is congruent with her values of listening to both self and others, claiming and speaking one's wisdom and nurturing creativity and connection. Having these talented people assuming board leadership roles will enhance the training and coaching programs CDCG offers to the Greenbelt community. John Buck, MA and Aileen Kroll, JD will continue their service to the community as Project Managers. For more detail, see: http://www.dynamic-governance.org/our-team/
