Yesterday I was contacted by the Alcoa Police Dept. about a homeless Veteran they were dealing with.
I was two counties away at the time so it took me a couple of hours to reach him.
This Veteran is a recent amputee and he has a wife and little dog. after meeting with him and seeing the conditions they were living in (Broke down Ford Explorer) I made the decision to put them in a room for a few nights. They are now safe for a while until we can figure out the next steps for their safety. Please say a few prayers for them.

Communities can make a difference by donating to shelters, volunteering time, providing job opportunities, and supporting veteran-focused organizations.

We are currently helping several Veterans and with this cold weather I'm receiving calls every day for assistance. Our funds are running low. I don't want to turn anyone away because sometimes you only get one chance to reach them. God bless our Veterans! I pray that we can assist all who find us and reach out.

So I’m looking for a veteran on Ceder Bluff. I think this is a veteran that we helped a couple of years ago. He completed our program and had his own place and benefits that we helped him get.
I looked for him today but no luck. If you are in that area and see someone holding a sign that says he is a veteran please contact me. Prayers for this soldier.
