Green High School AFJROTC Boosters The boosters will support our students on their endeavors as young cadets through fundraising.

The mission of the Air Force Junior ROTC is to “Develop youthful citizens of character dedicated to serving their communities, nation, and school.” The program is open to all high school students enrolled at Green High School in grades 9 – 12. Our program encourages students to get involved in their local communities and become well informed, participating citizens. The booster will support our st

udents on their endeavors as young cadets through fundraising and charity events. Our goal is to become contenders on a national and state level in Armed and Unarmed Drill, Color Guard, Exhibition, Cyber Patriot, JLAB, Raiders, Rifles, and Sabre Teams.

✈️Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders

What an incredible opportunity this morning for our young women and staff members at Green Local Schools!

Our ROTC female cadets, along with female teachers, administrators, and staff, had the privilege of learning from Dr. Rebecca Calder, the first female pilot to graduate from Top Gun.

Dr. Calder shared her remarkable journey of perseverance, leadership, courage, and breaking barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Her message challenged our students and staff to dream boldly, embrace challenges, and never underestimate the impact of hard work and determination. The opportunity to hear firsthand from a trailblazer who paved the way for future generations was both empowering and inspiring.

Thank you, Dr. Calder, for investing in our Bulldogs and women throughout our area and for reminding us all that leadership comes in many forms—and that there are no limits to what our young women can achieve.

Deputies Gary and Kemp and their K-9s Taro and Marlo, along with Deputy Salsar from our Drone Unit, spent some time yesterday with students at Camp Reliance in Green, demonstrating what our K-9s and drones are capable of. The annual 5-day camp for Green High School's Air Force Junior ROTC students teaches interpersonal communication and reliance through law enforcement and ROTC-style training, survival skills, camping, and other activities. We are happy to assist with it each summer.
