Frank is one of the many veterans Smiles for Veterans has been proud to serve since 2016. Like so many others, he belonged to the 85% of veterans who don't qualify for VA dental benefits, left without access to care they've more than earned.

Poor dental health increases the risk of major diseases by 35%. For veterans already navigating life after service, that's a burden no one should carry alone.

Frank didn't have to. And neither should the veterans currently on our waiting list.

🎉 Exciting News — Smiles for Veterans has been selected as a 2026 CORE Grant recipient from the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona! Foundation for Southern Arizona

We are deeply honored to receive this unrestricted funding, which will help us continue our mission of restoring dignity and dental health to Arizona's veterans — the 85% who don't qualify for VA dental benefits.

Support like this gives us the flexibility to respond to growing need: we currently have 100+ veterans on our waiting list, with new applications arriving every week. This grant helps us keep moving forward!

As we kick off April, we want to take a moment to thank the donors, dental partners, and community members who make our mission possible.

We've facilitated nearly $1.3mil in dental care since 2016. Every crown, every denture, every restored smile traces back to someone who believed veterans deserve better.

Last Friday, our own Daryl represented Smiles for Veterans at the annual RISE for Homeless Veterans event hosted by Pima Community College in Tucson. For a decade, PCC's Honors Students have worked to bring critical resources directly to unhoused veterans — all under one roof — and this year was no exception.

The event connected more than 100 unhoused veterans with housing assistance, VA services, clothing, and more!

At Smiles for Veterans, we believe that caring for our veterans doesn't stop at dental care — it starts with showing up wherever they need us most. We're proud to be part of a broader community of organizations who refuse to let our veterans fall through the cracks.

A huge thank you to Pima Community College, the Pima Honors Program, and every volunteer and partner organization who made RISE 2026 possible. 🫡

🏍️ What an incredible day on the road for our veterans!

Last month, riders came together in Green Valley for the Miles for Smiles Motorcycle Ride — and the support was absolutely amazing. 🙏

A huge thank you to every rider who registered, every supporter who showed up, and to our incredible partners at the American Legion Riders and American Legion Madera Post 131 for hosting such a memorable event. Events like this are a powerful reminder that our veteran community shows up for each other — on the road and off it.

Every mile ridden and every dollar raised goes directly toward restoring dignity for Arizona veterans who have earned the right to smile. With 85% of veterans unable to access VA dental benefits and 100+ veterans currently on our waiting list, your support makes a real difference.
