Does anyone know if Sahuarita High School yearbooks were published in 1967 and 1969? Do any of you SHS graduates have copies of old yearbooks? We found 1968 and 1970.

Dear SCVHS Members & Friends,

The countdown to Arizona Gives Day 2026 has begun! Each year, tens of thousands of donors come together for a day of collective giving that supports nonprofit organizations in their efforts to “build the community we deserve.”

This year, we ask each of you to consider a donation to support SCVHS programs. The amount doesn’t matter because every dollar received will be used to benefit our community. Please consider inviting at least one friend, colleague or family member to join you in giving. (Don’t forget to see if your employer matches charitable donations.)

"In the second grade, 1951–52, my teacher was Mrs. Cecilia Stock. She and her husband lived on the grounds of the Indian Hospital just south of Tucson and there were nice green lawns there. Every Easter she would take us to her place for an Easter egg hunt. The school bus transported us and I believe several of the other classes also went with us. In addition to her regular teaching I remember she liked to have us put on plays. That was a lot of fun."
-Sutah Harris

"My second-grade teacher, Mrs. Stock, became involved in making sure students attended catechism classes. She drove students to classes and helped them make their first Holy Communion. Mrs. Stock also took students to her home for an Easter egg hunt. Mrs. Stock’s husband was a doctor at the Indian Bureau hospital close to the school district."
-Oscar Gomez

"…..And to the Easter egg hunts in the grass fields by the Santa Cruz River. We walked the distance from the school to the river to hunt eggs. It was an enjoyable time to goof off! We looked forward to these small and far-between outings."
-Yvonne Carrasco Clay

Quotes from the Book. Sahuarita Arizona:Treasured Nuggets Nuggets from the Past

Does anyone remember any other ways Easter was Celebrated in Sahuarita in years past. The Sahuarita Parks and Recreation team now puts on an Easter Egg Hunt. Before we had a town government, the school hosted all of the community events.
