🌿 Scott's Bottom Nature Area is Reopening! 🌿
We are excited to welcome the community back to Scott's Bottom Nature Area after its period of rehabilitation and recovery. Watching this beautiful landscape begin to heal has been incredible, and we look forward to sharing its natural beauty with you once again.
As you explore, we ask for your help in protecting this special place for future generations. Please stay on the designated crushed concrete and crushed asphalt pathways and avoid walking on dirt single-track trails or creating new paths. The landscape is still recovering from the fire, and the vegetation, soils, and wildlife habitat will continue healing for many years. Every step off the designated trail can slow that recovery.
Because this is a natural area, please remain aware of your surroundings. Burned and dead trees remain throughout the site and can present hazards, particularly during periods of high wind. For your safety, please stay clear of these areas, remain on the established pathways, and use caution while enjoying your visit.
Scott's Bottom is a place to experience nature in all its beauty and resilience. Together, we can help this remarkable landscape continue to recover and flourish.
