Every year we host a casual hang for folks to work together on their entries into the official Melon Days melon carving contest! Spectators, loiters, and looky-loos are welcome.

Free to the public. All experience levels welcome! Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Bring your own melons and tools. We can help with ideas and carving if you need it! We'll have extra tools on hand.

Phase I and Phase II of Green River’s EPA Brownfields Project are coming to a close on September 30, 2026.

Through this project, the City worked with property owners, the EPA, and Terracon to assess 11 potential brownfield sites for hazardous materials, gather public input, and meet directly with property owners to discuss future opportunities for these properties.
