We are incredibly honored (and honestly a little blown away!) to share that Playground Pals has been named 2025 Newsmaker of the Year.

This recognition belongs to so many people…our community, our donors, our volunteers, our families, and everyone who believed in this project from the very beginning. What started as a small group of moms seeing a need turned into something bigger than we ever imagined, all because of the support around us.

We’re beyond grateful for this recognition and even more thankful for the opportunity to help create something meaningful for Green Lake, a space built by the community, for the community.

Thank you for cheering us on every step of the way. 💚🙏

💚 A Little Update from Playground Pals 💚

While Playground Pals will be formally disbanding, a few of us aren’t going too far. We’re still committed to helping support the future of Green Lake Parks & Rec — just nothing quite this big again. (And don’t worry… we promise not to harass you the way we may have over the last two years 😅)

You’ll still see us around with Vandewalle’s candy bars and our annual Par for the Playground golf outing, with future proceeds helping support park needs throughout Green Lake.

We are incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and patience you’ve shown us along the way, and we’re excited to see what good we can continue to do together - just on a much smaller scale this time.

🌟Friends of the Playground Spotlight: Deborah & Andrew Zeratsky

We’d like to extend a special thank-you to Deborah and Andrew Zeratsky for their continued support of the Playground Park Revamp!

Not only did they give earlier in the campaign, but they recently made an additional donation, which was also doubled through the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation match. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing generosity and belief in this project.
