🐣🌷 WOW… what a day in Green Lake! 🌷🐣

We are still blown away…
we had a RECORD turnout for this year’s Easter Egg Hunt — easily 300+ people! ❤️

We truly could not believe how many families came out to Deacon Mills Park.
And you know what… it turned out to be the perfect day.

👉 The weather cooperated
👉 The ground wasn’t bad at all
👉 And most kids came ready with their rain boots anyway 👢

From start to finish, it was just a great morning full of smiles, laughter, and memories.

🎶 Now… about that dance party 😅
We had a few technical difficulties — outlets not working, speakers not connecting to Bluetooth… you name it.
But we rolled with it, and one thing is for sure…
👉 we’ll be ready next year!

👉 The forecast is looking better, and we are FULL GO for the Easter Egg Hunt at Deacon Mills Park!

🌦️ The weather should cooperate, but hey… this is Wisconsin!
👢 The ground might be a little damp, so throw on those rain boots and make it part of the fun!

🕥 Be there by 10:45 AM to dance with the Easter Bunny and his friends 🐰🎶
🥚 Egg Hunt starts sharply at 11:00 AM

Join us Saturday, April 4th at Deacon Mills Park in Green Lake for one of the most fun, family-friendly traditions of the year!

🕤 Come early around 10:30 AM to grab photos with the Easter Bunny and his friends—trust us, you’ll want those smiles captured! 📸
(And don’t worry… they LOVE hanging around after too!)

🎶 The party really gets hopping at 10:45 AM with our Pre-Hunt Dance Party!
The Easter Bunny, a giant chicken, and dancing Easter eggs will be ready to go…

👉 And here’s the deal… this is NOT just for the kids…

🐔 The Easter Bunny feels strongly that every Wisconsin kid (and adult 😉) should know the Chicken Dance… and he needs your help to make that happen!

Help spread the news!

Farmers who plan for transition are the hidden heroes of agriculture!

Please join us in preserving our state’s working lands and ensuring the success of next-generation farmers.

Consider this:
1) Farmers are aging—and rapidly! The average age of a U.S. farmer is 58, and 60% of current producers (those who grow food and fiber for the rest of us) are over the age of 55.
2) Of privately-owned farmland, 80% is owned by farmers 55+ (with 38% owned by farmers 65+).
3) Farmland is disappearing at a rate of 2,000 acres per day (40 acres per hour) due to development and conversion to other uses. Preserving what’s left of farmland and providing new farmers access to that land is critical to the future of food production in the U.S.
4) Due to the many challenges, new and beginning farmers are entering the industry at a rate of
only 9% compared to the 60% of producers retiring. Supporting skilled and experienced farmers
in accessing good farmland and establishing viable businesses is vital to the future of ag.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Rachael from the Thrasher Opera House to share an update on their “Creating an Entrance” Capital Campaign. She walked us through the exciting plans to transform 510 Mill Street into a more accessible, welcoming, and vibrant space for the entire community. 🎭

Thrasher has supported our club in countless ways over the years, and we’re grateful for everything they bring to Green Lake. In that spirit, the Green Lake Rotary Club is proud to give back, we’ve made a $1,000 donation toward the project.
