Hello all you amazing beautiful Elves. It is with a sad heart once again that we will need to be moving from our current office space. The building is in the process of being put up for sale again and they will be using the 2nd floor space for something else (which is where our space is located). Since our yearly lease went to a month to month when it was done, I was informed my month to month, and there is not an option for a year lease, will not be renewed.
This comes at a time when my mother, all of you know as Grandma Elf, has been very sick since January. Please help keep her in your prayers as many of you have been doing. Which is why the last few months I have been quiet on social media due
to her health. However, during our time at our current spot we still were able to create gifts of food on many occasions for the homeless and handed them out at the local parks downtown, we have helped sponsor parts of veteran meals, we have given school supplies to some children, we have sent letters to teens at Fort Mcroy to inspire them to continue classes, we sent out valentines to some seniors in the nursing home, and much more.
Currently I will need to try and do as much as I can over the next 20 days to raise funds once again to help cover a cost of moving, and cleaning from the space we are in. At this time, I do not have a new place yet to go since I found out about all this 4 days ago and have been processing the information and heartbreak of it. I loved being a part of that location and thought it would be our home for a long time. I met many amazing people there and will miss them greatly as being able to see them as my office family and safe place.
I will be doing a fundraiser to help cover the cost of the expenses for this move and to continue our journey of helping our community. We have been around for 15 years. Many of your children grew up helping as elves, many families helped out of tradition. In my heart, I know we still have much to do for our community and somehow we always managed to do it with volunteers and as a small word of mouth non profit organization. None of us, including me, get paid a salary to do any of our projects, we did it out of love, care, kindness, and wanting to help others. I have been so very blessed to know all of you and asking to please help contribute to the fundraising or help towards things as needed coming up, because I can’t run this train without your support. Thank you to all of my family and friends who never gave up on me and my goals for this group. Thank you for all of the love and support from all the amazing Elves over the years. Many blessings❤️
Things I will need help with:
1. Please help me to raise funds to once again move our office space and continue with our community projects. The goal to raise is $3000. Please help donate if you are able to. George's Secret Elves has been in our community for 15 years and has helped 1000’s of people over that course of time with various community projects. I thank you in advance for your love, support, and donations. If you prefer to write a check, please make them out to George’s Secret Elves. I will create a wall of “bricks” to show anyone or any business that donates towards this because it is the beginning of our next chapter of our story. If you donate, any amount, please let me know how you would like your name, family, or business to be represented on the display. Even if you want it as anonymous or an alias elf name.
2. I will need people to help move things (as soon as I know where I will let everyone know). As of right now, I do not have any new space on the table.
3. I will need help with garbage removal and will be posting things for sale as a fundraiser as well. Please help pass the word for that.
4. I will be putting gifts together for our community and will need people to help pick them up and deliver them to some various locations. It will involve going up and down many stairs.
