Join us tonight at 6:00 pm at Fisk Park (open shelter if weather is good, closed shelter if weather is inclement). We will recap our Kindness Rocks and Pop-Up Pantry events as well as our involvement in Fisk Addition's Neighborhood Night Out event. We'll also be discussing upcoming events: Adopt a Block and Fall Trail Cleanup. Bring anything you'd like to talk about with the neighborhood!

Here's a list of our upcoming meetings! Screenshot or save this so you can come join us! All meetings are open to the public and approximately an hour long. We love to see fresh faces!

Our April meeting this Monday will be virtual, so please DM us your email address if you'd like the link to join.

Each month we make an agenda to cover what we have coming up. Our April meeting will mostly be about our newsletter and the upcoming rummage sales, our June meeting will center around our upcoming events: Kindness Rocks and Pop-Up Pantries, August will be about Good Neighbor Week, and October will be brainstorming for 2027. Each meeting also has space for additional items to be covered in the agenda; if you have something you'd like to talk about, reach out! [email protected]

Thanks to everyone who joined us for Kindness Rocks! this afternoon for food, fun, and community! Neighbors painted 42 rocks to leave throughout the corridor to spread joy to strangers and help us connect. 🤩

Special thanks to Mobile Coqui Cafe for making the amazing food! Also, please welcome our new board member, Chad! He’s been acting like a board member for almost a year now, so we’re excited to make it official. šŸ˜‰ Western Corridor is so happy to have you!

A few updates, good and bad for our Pop-Up Food Pantries + Produce Swap!

1. With rain on and off until 5:00, the Shawano Ave pantry is on the porch (pictured here) and the Fisk Ave pantry has been pulled inside until weather improves.

2. The Western Ave pantry is MISSING. Best case scenario, would be that someone took the crates by mistake. If you have them, please return no questions asked. The entire setup was taken including food, crates, and grocery bags around 10:30 this morning despite having a ā€œplease don’t take cratesā€ sign attached. If anyone saw anything or if you have milk crates to spare to replace these, please let us know. We’d hate to have one bad choice prevent us from continuing to do good.

3. In better news: The nonprofit ā€œRooted Inā€ is providing some chilled meals this afternoon. You’ll find them at the pantry sites today but we expect them to go quickly.

4. So far over $600 in groceries have gone out into the community little by little and it warms our hearts to help care for our neighbors. If you have extra items in your pantry and would like to help, please stop by one of our locations to stock them up!

Thank you!
