♿ “I’m just running in for a minute.”

People hear this one a lot.
But accessible parking spaces — including the striped access aisles next to them — aren’t extra space, they aren't a cart hold, they aren't to be parked in. They’re access.

That striped area is needed for someone to lower a ramp or lift, transfer safely, use a mobility device, or simply have the space they need to safely enter and exit their vehicle.

Whether you’re parking, waiting for someone, loading your vehicle or returning a shopping cart, please keep both the accessible parking space AND the access aisle clear.

Because “just a minute” can still mean someone else can’t access the space they need now, not in a minute.

Accessible parking is access. Please keep it clear. ♿

🏡 We are SO excited to finally share this!

Over the last several months, we’ve been busy making some pretty big updates to the Options Showcase Model Home & Office Complex — and things are looking a little different around here!

Our foyer, living room and bedroom have all gotten a refresh, we’ve added and updated assistive technology throughout the home, there’s fresh paint, new displays and more. We’re still putting the finishing touches on our AT/TEPP room (those counters are coming!), but we just couldn’t wait any longer to show you.

And while everything looks beautiful, what we really love is what these spaces allow us to do.

Our Showcase Model Home gives people with disabilities, families, caregivers and community members a place to see accessibility in action — to explore ideas, try assistive technology and learn about options that can support greater independence at home.

Come see it! Seriously. We would LOVE to give you a tour. 💚

And a HUGE thank you to our donors and everyone who supported Options through , along with community partners like Verlo Mattress of Green Bay, who helped bring some of these updates to life. Your support helped make these updates possible, and we are incredibly excited to share them with our community.

Stay tuned or stop in… we still have a few more things to show you! 👀

We’ve been busy making some updates at Options, and we are finally ready to start showing you what we’ve been working on!

First up — check out our freshly painted logo, done by our very own Missie! ❤️ She did such a beautiful job bringing a little more Options to our front desk.

But this is just a sneak peek… there’s a LOT more that’s looking different around here. 👀

Come back tomorrow for the BIG reveal! 🏡💚

🚨 We are OUT of manual wheelchairs—and we need your help! ♿

Our LEND Medical Equipment Closet has been BUSY. In fact, more than 300 people received equipment through LEND just this past quarter! And right now, our supply of manual wheelchairs is completely gone. Each chair is exactly what someone in our community needs to get home safely, make it to appointments, stay independent, or simply get through everyday life.

♿ Have one in usable condition? We’d love to give it a second life.
📦 Prefer to send one directly? Here's an Amazon link: https://a.co/d/45nMShW
Deliver or Ship to 555 Country Club Rd. Green Bay, WI 54313

And while we have you—we want to hear from our LEND community! 💚
What has the LEND closet helped YOU with?

Did you borrow a wheelchair after surgery? Find a shower chair for a family member? Get a walker, commode, transfer bench, or another piece of equipment when you needed it?

📸 Share a photo in the comments or tell us your LEND story! We’d love to show just how far donated equipment travels and the difference this program makes for hundreds of people in our community.

Have questions? Reach out to Options at 920-490-0500.

Donate it. Share it. Keep it moving. 💚

♿🏅 A five-time Paralympian. Six-time medalist. Advocate. And she’s coming to Green Bay!

The Women's Fund of Greater Green Bay is bringing women and our community together for Powerful, an event by the Women’s Fund—and this year’s keynote speaker is Paralympian and disability advocate Alana Nichols!

Powerful is about just that—the power of what can happen when a community comes together. Through donors, sponsors, nonprofits, and community leaders, the Women’s Fund invests in programs that support local women and girls and creates pathways for women in our community to thrive.

And we’re especially excited to see disability representation included in this year’s event! 💚

After sustaining a spinal cord injury at age 17, Alana went on to become the first American woman to win gold medals at both the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games, competing in wheelchair basketball and alpine skiing. She later added a third Paralympic sport—paracanoe.

Beyond her accomplishments in sports, Alana has spent more than 15 years advocating for people with disabilities and expanding opportunities for women and girls.

We love seeing disability representation included in conversations about powerful women in our community. Our very own Director of Advocacy and Outreach will be there and hopes to see you there, too!
