We were so very sad to hear about the sudden passing of our dear friend and long time Crisis Cafe supporter, Joe Wendel. His wife, Julie, was one of Rita’s very close college friends and the Wendels have faithfully believed in and loved on Crisis Cafe from the beginning. He was a brilliant business man who loved the Lord and mission work. Please pray for Julie Hoffman Wendel and her boys, Jake and Luke, as they begin this new chapter.

💛💚HELPING HANDS 💛💚
Thankful for our dear volunteers, Tim and Bobbi, who organized a group to help out our sweet friend Laura this week. We have been bringing meals to Laura and helping her out around her house for the past year. The substantial rain we had last month flooded her garage and many things were ruined beyond saving. The group dug right in and patiently helped Laura process through her garage storage. Bobbi prayed over Laura before we left and she was so very grateful for the help. Thanks everyone!

💚💙CRISIS RESPONSE TRIP💙💚
This week Crisis Cafe had the privilege of partnering with the Forest Lake District and ReachGlobal Crisis Response to assist with ongoing hurricane relief efforts in North Carolina. This group of 15 beautiful people gave up their week to help hurting homeowners still struggling to rebuild after Helene. WHAT A WEEK IT WAS. We were able to not only do physical work, but encourage and love on those who need care after such a traumatic event. Our team was outstanding and unified and laughed until we cried. We are returning transformed and exhausted, but our hearts are full. Huge thanks to the volunteers who kept Crisis Cafe rolling in our absence.

🏦❤️BANK FIRST SERVICE DAY ❤️🏦
Thanks to our good friend and commercial banker, John Rehn, who organized a group from Bank First to come help prep for tonight’s homeless meals. Bank First also recently donated drawstring bags to be packed with hygiene items to be handed out to the homeless with their dinner. Thank you Bank First! Always fun to have you help Crisis Cafe!

✝️🌸HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE ✝️🌸
The kitchen had a very busy Easter week. It’s so exciting to be able to share the good news of the resurrection with those we serve. Thank you Jesus for that eternal hope! Over 30 volunteers braved an ice storm and pouring rain to decorate cookies, prep food, serve the homeless, clean the kitchen, and deliver meals…. Thank you!

🌸🌸WHERE ARE YOU SPRING?🌸🌸
We have had fun the last couple of weeks serving with volunteers in Green Bay. Crisis Cafe is blessed with such a great family of volunteers logging about 150 hours so far this year. Snowstorm Elsa hit Green Bay with 26” of snow, but fell just around the meal schedule so nothing was interrupted! Thank you everyone for your faithful support of Crisis Cafe!

Crisis Cafe has always been about the relationships. It’s not just a meal. It’s an investment in the lives of those we serve and love. The last few weeks have been busy with mentoring, fun activities, Bible studies, and just simply sharing life with our families. We can’t invest in others without our teams of volunteers, prayer partners, and donors. Thank you everyone for all the support!

Every February we make the trek to New Orleans to cook for this conference. It is always a full week of laughs, memories, and sooo much food…almost 900 meals! We get to catch up with dear friends and share Crisis Cafe updates. We are so very thankful for missionary friends who bear our burdens so well. Until next year, NOLA! Always a good time.
