We have been thrilled that neighbors are back to business sharing their knowledge and skills with their neighborhood young people after a long pandemic hiatus!

Historic Central Neighborhood Appleton resident Charisse visited the Boys and Girls Club after school program at Columbus Elementary School in Appleton to share her experience working at the Appleton Public Library. They all discussed their favorite books. Top choices? The Dog Man series and books by Mo Willems.

Another Historic Central/Columbus Elementary neighbor, Gabriel, brought over his racing bike and antique bikes. Did you know that bikes used to have license plates and that the types of breaks where you have to pedal backwards to stop are called coaster brakes? These are a couple of the neat things Gabriel shared with his neighborhood kids.
