IBEW Local 158

IBEW Local 158 We are the right choice for electricians, and contractors employment needs. The heart of our training is our Green Bay JATC program.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) represent over 800,000 workers throughout the United States and Canada in all phases of the electrical industry. We hold a firm resolve to provide our contractors with the highest quality of skilled and trained electricians, apprentices and technicians in the industry. The Local offers all of its electricians ongoing, continuous training,

and we pride ourselves on our ability to keep our Apprentices, Journeyman and Wireman up to date and knowledgeable on the latest technologies and work processes. It is a regimented training program that assures competency in the standardized skills needed to be an electrician. Upon the completion of the program, our apprentices go to work armed with the skills that have, by that time, become second nature to them.

Proud to support those who served. 🇺🇸⚡

IBEW Local 158 and Wisconsin Chapter NECA LMCC were honored to present a $5,000 donation to Veterans 1st of Northeast Wisconsin, Inc. in support of the Veteran’s Home Village project.

This project is creating safe, stable housing for veterans right here in Northeast Wisconsin, and we are proud to play a small part in helping make it happen.

A huge thank you to VDH Electric and Eland Electric Corporation for their coordination, partnership, and continued support on the contractor side of this project.

The slabs are poured, two homes are currently being roughed in, and soon our skilled IBEW Local 158 members will be onsite completing the electrical installations.

Union labor building stronger communities. Brotherhood, partnership, and giving back in action. ⚡🏠🇺🇸

⚡️ “No Tax on Overtime” – Quick Facts ⚡️

Brothers and Sisters,

You may be hearing about “No Tax on Overtime,” but here’s the reality:

🔹 It’s not all OT pay – Only the extra half-time portion qualifies, not your full overtime wage.
🔹 You may have to calculate it – It likely will not show up clearly on your W-2, if at all.
🔹 Not all OT counts – Only federally required overtime applies. (overtime after 40 hours, only.)
🔹 State taxes may still apply – You could still pay tax on OT on state taxes.

Bottom line: It’s not as simple as it sounds—make sure you understand it before filing your taxes.

Stay informed. Stay Union. ⚡️

As a proud Wisconsin IBEW member, I support the Build a Stronger Wisconsin legislative package, especially since it repeals Wisconsin’s so-called “right-to-work” law. “Right-to-work” weakens unions, lowers wages, and hurts working families by letting non-members benefit from union contracts without paying their fair share. Raise wages, protect good union jobs, and rebuild Wisconsin’s middle class by writing to your state legislators today. https://bit.ly/47OOrnt
