The next meeting for Northwest Railway Gardens Neighborhood Association is this coming Monday, January 26 at 5 pm at The Tarlton Theatre. We don’t have these meetings monthly, so I am hoping more people will come join us for discussion.

On the agenda:
Treasurer’s Report
Name change: Suggested, "Northwest Railway Neighborhood” dropping gardens to make it shorter.
Signage: We need to replace our sign (free of charge) and the name change if any must be decided first.
Set the date for our "Music In the Park” event.
Discuss becoming a 501 3c non-profit.
Discussion on expanding our boundary to include apartments across Velp behind the railyard and trying to get (Henry S) Atkinson Park added to our boundary.
Set schedule for the annual meeting in Summer.
Search for a secretary for our organization.
Set date and location for the next meeting.

Please let me know if you can join us for the meeting, but even if you don’t we invite you to stop in.

The next meeting for the Northwest Railway Garden Neighborhood Association will be held January 26 at 5:00 pm at The Tarlton Theatre, 405 W Walnut Street. Parking is available in our lot across the alley.

Everyone is invited to attend, but please reply if you know you will attend so we can make enough space available.

Of special note: We are still needing to fill the position of Secretary. If anyone is interested, please reply to [email protected] .

We will be discussing the plans for the Music In Atkinson Park event for this summer. We applied for and were awarded a grant to hold this wonderful night of music.

Just a reminder of our neighborhood meeting this Friday @6:30PM. I was hoping to have it at the park, but it looks like it will be raining so we will likely need to meet at Los Magueyes.
The main order of business will be planning our picnic on Thursday, August 28.

Hi All, My wife is in the hospital recovering from Bronchitis. I need to postpone the meeting that was scheduled for Friday. My next 5 weeks will be busy, so I am rescheduling for June 13th, 6:30PM at the park. The main order of business will be planning the picnic which is scheduled for August 28.

The City of Green Bay will be having their annual bike auction on May 31st, 8:00am at the Brown County Fairgrounds. You can get great bikes for very reasonable prices.

{Reminder}
Hi All,
With the days lengthening, it is time to plan the upcoming year.
One event is already in the progress.On May 30, there will be a Green Bay neighborhood night at the Blizzards. The tickets will be online, discounted to $15 with $2.50 to our neighborhood (for those who register through our neighborhood) and $2.50 to GBN (Green Bay Neighborhoods) where we get much of our funding. More details later this month..
Sounds like the Tarlton will have a west side night. I have not heard the date. The movie, popcorn, and soda will be free. Food and adult beverages will be available for purchase.
I am planning the meeting for Friday, March 28 at Los Magueyes@6:15PM
I hope to see you and bring your ideas to improve our neighborhood this year.

Hi All,
Unfortunately I am cancelling the picnic. Partially my fault for being too busy.
There will be 2 ways to help our neighbors this fall.
1. For Good Neighbor week in Sept., there are 2 projects in our area. I am still gathering the information. I will email details later.
2. I have a meeting tomorrow morning for a new project. More details in the coming weeks.

Last chance for picnic Dear Neighbors, Yesterday I attended the Fisk Addition neighborhood picnic, which is the neighborhood south of ours. Their board recently reformed and they have over a dozen people stepping up to serve. They had a nice picnic. I have asked for help twice in the past, and the only one who stepped up will be out of town for a family vacation. Are people willing to step up to help or should the picnic be cancelled? I am busy the next 3 days, but I am willing to meet Thursday or Friday.
Mather Heights is having a National Night out picnic Tuesday at Mather's Height park
There may be an area wide rummage sale this fall. Details are still being worked out.

At the meeting 2 weeks ago, no one showed up.
I do need help with the picnic.
I am rescheduling the meeting to plan our neighborhood picnic on August 23.
Please bring your ideas to make this the best picnic yet.
We did receive grant money to help with expenses.
