🦁 De Pere Lions Giving Back 🦁

Yesterday, the De Pere Lions proudly donated $1,000 to Food 4 Phantoms, a vital food assistance program serving students in need within the West De Pere School District.

Food 4 Phantoms supports families through four key pillars:
• Emergency Food Boxes
• Weekend Food Bags
• Holiday Meal Program
• Lunch Account Assistance

Working alongside Festival Foods and De Pere Christian Outreach, Food 4 Phantoms helps ensure students and their families have access to food when it’s needed most.

Thank you to Food 4 Phantoms for the important work you do in our community—and thank you to our Lions members and supporters who make contributions like this possible. 💙

🎄 Supporting Our Community This Christmas 🎄

The De Pere Lions are proud to donate $1,250 to the De Pere Christian Outreach Christmas Store! These funds will help stock the shelves with items for families in need to purchase at minimal prices, ensuring everyone can experience the joy of the season.

From the Christmas Store’s mission:
"Since 2018, the eight churches that began De Pere Christian Outreach have collaborated on a successful Christmas Store serving low income/at-risk families of De Pere who are referred by school social workers or the De Pere Christian Outreach Pantry. Throughout the year we accept monetary donations as well as new items for families to purchase at minimal prices from the store. Proceeds from the store are used to purchase additional items as inventory is depleted."

We’re honored to support this incredible effort to bring hope and dignity to families in our community. ❤️

The De Pere Lions are proud to serve our community!

We provide Vision Screenings for Pre-K through elementary school students and local daycare centers to help ensure healthy vision for our youngest learners.

This week, we partnered with seven amazing students from the NTWC Nursing Program who assisted with screenings. Together, we completed 66 screenings, identifying five students who received referrals for out-of-range results.

Since September, the De Pere Lions have screened over 1,600 students, with an average referral rate of about 11%—helping families take early action for better eye health.

Late Post:
On Earth Day, 04/22, a group of De Pere Lions Members took to the Lions Trailside Park to clean up trash that accumulated over the past months. During the winter months, this park is used as a sledding hill. During the summer months, local residents are able to use the community garden. Thank you for your work this week.
