Registered dietitian Michelle Nowak explores the importance of wheat—one of the world’s most significant food crops—in a recent blog post. She introduces The Whole Wheat Story, a four-part educational series that examines wheat’s remarkable journey through history, biology, nutrition, and food preparation.
The series begins on Tuesday, June 9th, with the first of four free, live presentations. The first two sessions will be led by biologist Dr. Vicki Medland, while Michelle will present the final two talks, focusing on wheat’s nutritional value and culinary uses.
The Whole Wheat Story is part of the Brown County Seed Library’s ongoing educational programming on seeds, gardening, food, and health. You can read all about it here:
