St. Vincent de Paul of Green Bay offers a variety of services to those looking to overcome economic and systemic barriers.

Stop by our stores for affordable products for your home, or head to our Resource Center for more. Through a community effort, St Vincent de Paul Green Bay provides nearly a million dollars of assistance to those in need in Green Bay. Those who donate, volunteer, and shop our thrift stores are a part of that. St Vincent de Paul Green Bay is primarily operated by volunteers and is one of the largest volunteer sites in Green Bay. Donated items are sold to all walks of life to provide assistance for those who cannot afford it. Along with our thrift stores, Vincentian volunteers provide resources for those who cannot afford household items, clothing, rent and transportation needs. Through a multi-layered organization we continue to help others and change lives in Green Bay and the surrounding communities and we hope you'll be a part of it!

🌟Sunday Spotlight🌟

In 1833, 20 year old Frédéric Ozanam was a college student in Paris, France. At the time, he noticed that many people in his community had a fragmented perception of the Catholic faith. Public forums were often held among students and during one of these discussions Frédéric and his five peers were challenged with a powerful question:

"What is your church doing now? What is She doing for the poor of Paris? Show us your works and we will believe you!"

Inspired by this challenge, they responded with action and together they founded Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Blessed Frédéric Ozanam and the other founding members established the first local group, known as a Conference, in Paris. The purpose was to show that their faith inspired them to love and care for others; and to learn about, deepen and be strengthened in their faith, as well as grow closer to God.

After its humble beginnings, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul now operates in 155 countries, with over 800,000 Vincentians actively making a difference in others' lives. https://svdpgb.org/vincentian/

💙A Story of Regaining Momentum through SVdPGB💙

When Greg fell $1,300 behind in rent and faced the risk of losing the home he had lived in for 15 years, he turned to St. Vincent de Paul Green Bay for help. Thanks to support from the Norbertine Grant through the Augustine Stewardship Fund, our Vincentians provided rental assistance and gas support, helping Greg remain housed while he pursued employment opportunities and began receiving Social Security income.

What could have become homelessness instead became a path toward recovery. With timely assistance, compassionate support, and encouragement from our Vincentian volunteers, Greg was able to stabilize his situation and focus on building a brighter future.

Today, Greg is making meaningful progress toward long-term self-sufficiency, proving that a helping hand at the right moment can make all the difference. 💙
