Thank you to the Allouez Optimist Club of Green Bay for welcoming Tanner and giving him the opportunity to speak about our Club. Moments like this highlight the power of our mission and the importance of supporting both our staff and the young people we serve by creating space to share their stories. We’re grateful for community partners who believe in our work and help spread its impact.

Had the chance to hear Tanner from the Boys & Girls Club speak at the Optimist meeting, and his story really stuck with me. You could feel the honesty and strength in everything he shared.
It’s not often you come across someone so young who carries that kind of perspective—truly wise beyond his years. Hearing him speak was a reminder of how powerful these programs are and how much potential is out there when young people are given support and a voice.

Wow! The 2025 Festival Foods Turkey Trot was a huge success!

Thanks to the amazing partners, trotters, and volunteers, an incredible $522,722 was raised for Boys & Girls Clubs and YMCAs across the state of Wisconsin.

Every year, our Club kids get the honor of updating our Turkey Trot plaque—and those little hands are the reason why. We are so grateful to be part of this cherished Thanksgiving Day tradition and proud of the impact it continues to have in our community, one mile at a time.

Flashback Friday!

In February, Club celebrated Lunar New Year with a variety of activities that included learning about Zodiac Animals, creating Lanterns and learning about the Lantern Festival and completed some educational word searches and worksheets.

We are so grateful for Panda Express and the Panda Cares Foundation for providing resources to continue to educate our members on Lunar New Year. To express our gratitude, our members visited a Panda Express store and delivered the lanterns that were made by the members.

Career Exploration in Action!

Our Club teens are getting hands on with their futures! Most recently, they visited Starz Barber & Beauty of Green Bay to explore exciting careers in the beauty industry and get a behind the scenes look at what it really takes to run a barbershop.

Starz Barber & Beauty of Green Bay has been an amazing supporter of the Club and truly shows what community is all about. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support and for investing in our members’ growth and dreams!

A big thank you to our friends at the Green Bay Gamblers Hockey for hosting our Kids Day, sponsored by Kwik Trip!

Members, families, volunteers, and staff from Shawano, Door County, and Green Bay enjoyed a fantastic hockey game with popcorn, soda, and nonstop excitement. Between Star Wars Day, Ace’s birthday, and even a few Club kids getting to ride the Zamboni, the day was packed with fun, celebration, cheers, and high fives!
