đź“Ł APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

The Gathering Place is excited to announce an upcoming CCAR Recovery Coach Academy Training, facilitated by Stephanie Short, and made possible through funding from the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment!

This is an opportunity for individuals interested in learning how to support individuals in recovery - whether you are new to recovery support, a family or community member, someone with lived experience, or an established professional looking to strengthen your skills and expand your knowledge of Recovery Coaching.

đź—“ Training Dates:
October 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, & 25th
⏰ 10:00AM - 5:00PM each day
đź“ŤThe Gathering Place - 1001 Cherry Street, Green Bay, WI
đź‘Ą 15 participants will be selected

This is an in-person training, and individuals selected to participate must be able to attend all five training dates.

đź“ť Application Information:

We will accept up to 50 applications for the 15 available training spots.

Applications will remain open until September 14th, 2026 OR until 50 applications have been received - whichever comes first.

Those selected to participate will be notified by September 25th, 2026, or possibly earlier if the 50 application limit is reached before September 14th.

🎆 You’re Invited to Our 4th of July Cookout!🎆

The Gathering Place will be OPEN on Saturday, July 4th, from 10:00am to 5:00pm, and we’d love for you to celebrate with us!

Join us for our 4th of July Cookout as we come together to enjoy good food, great company, and a safe, sober, and welcoming environment where everyone can celebrate the holiday in community.

🌭 Food will be served beginning at 1:00pm 🍔

If you’d like to bring a dish to pass or a favorite dessert to share, you’re more than welcome to - but please don’t feel obligated. Your presence is the only thing that matters!

Whether you’re looking for connection, support, or simply a place to spend the holiday with others, our doors are open. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Join us on Thursday, June 25th at 11:00AM at The Gathering Place for a free QPR Su***de Prevention Training. 

QPR teaches individuals how to recognize the warning signs of su***de, offer help, and connect someone with appropriate supports and resources. Just as CPR helps the lives during a medical emergency, QPR can save lives during a mental health crisis.

This training is free and open to the community. We hope you’ll join us and help make a difference.
