Dwarf Pink Cosmos (a dwarf variety of Cosmos bipinnatus):
* 🌸 They symbolize love, harmony, peace, and order. The name Cosmos comes from the Greek word kosmos, meaning “order” or “harmony.” Pink varieties are especially associated with affection, gentleness, and compassion.
* 🐝 They’re excellent pollinator plants. Their open flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects throughout the summer.
* 💧 They thrive in poor soil. Unlike many flowers, cosmos usually bloom better in average or even somewhat poor soil. Rich, heavily fertilized soil often produces more leaves and fewer flowers.
* 🌾 They reseed themselves. If you leave some flowers to mature into seed, they often drop seed and produce new plants the following spring, especially in areas where the soil isn’t heavily disturbed.

After I was in an accident that totaled my E bike lol.the Lord blessed me and people blessed me with this truck and now Mission:Yardwork is ready to serve people with sidewalk and driveway snow plowing for the rest of this winter and many winters to come.

First time posting the truck — and the first load hauled for the mission.

Today’s cleanup was at an old church property that’s being cared for and prepared for future use. From an empty truck… to a cleaned-up yard… to a full load of leaves by the end of the day.

No big crew. No fancy equipment.
Just one truck, some hand tools, and a willingness to do the work.

This is what Mission: Yardwork looks like at the beginning.

A blooming water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) is a striking sight. It’s a free-floating aquatic plant known for its glossy, rounded leaves and swollen bulb-like stems that help it float. When it blooms, it produces showy spikes of lavender to violet flowers, often with a yellow spot on the upper petal. Each flower cluster can have anywhere from 8–15 delicate blossoms, giving the plant a lush, ornamental look.A few quick notes: • 🌱 Habitat: Native to South America, but now found worldwide in ponds, lakes, and slow-moving rivers. • 🌸 Blooming: Flowers typically appear in warm months, thriving in full sun. • ⚠️ Invasiveness: Though beautiful, water hyacinth is one of the world’s most invasive aquatic plants. It grows rapidly, forming dense mats that can block waterways, deplete oxygen, and harm aquatic ecosystems.

Rolling through town on my e-bike with a backpack full of tools — push mower and trimmer loaded up, ready to serve the community. Mission: Yardwork is about helping seniors, disabled individuals, and families who can’t afford yard care. Every ride means another yard made better. 🌱✝️
