Day 5 has marked the final chapter of our Greeley Children’s Chorale St. Louis adventure! ✈️🎶

After breakfast, students checked out of their hotel rooms and somehow managed to fit five days’ worth of souvenirs, snacks, and memories back into their suitcases which may have been the most impressive feat of the trip! 😆

We then spent a few hours exploring the Science Center, where curiosity, creativity, and hands-on fun kept everyone busy right up until it was time for lunch at the mall food court. After one last meal together, we headed to the airport and have officially made our way through security for the journey home.

While there aren’t many photos from today, the fun certainly didn’t stop. In fact, some of the best moments happened between destinations in conversations, laughter, inside jokes, and the friendships that grew throughout the week.

What started with an early morning meetup at Kohl’s turned into five unforgettable days of music, performances, history, animals, theater, adventure, and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to our incredible students, supportive families, dedicated chaperones, and everyone who helped make this trip possible.

Thank you also to Hensel Phelps for sponsoring today’s shirts; and Peter Romero for his beautiful artwork and handwriting that designed them!

Now it’s time to head home, catch up on sleep, and start telling stories that begin with, “Remember when we were in St. Louis…” ❤️🎤

Day 4 of the GCC tour was all about seeing more of St. Louis, making memories, and proving that adults occasionally know what they’re doing. 😎

The day started with a guided tour of the city as a local guide hopped aboard our bus and showed us some of St. Louis’s highlights. We stopped at a fantastic Illinois vantage point overlooking the Arch, toured the Anheuser-Busch area to see the famous Clydesdales, and learned plenty of interesting facts about the city along the way before making our final stop at the St. Louis History Museum.

After lunch at The Foundry, it was time for the chorale’s final performance of the trip—deep underground in the tunnels of the City Museum! The unique setting made for a memorable concert, and after the performance, the students spent the afternoon exploring everything the museum had to offer. If you’ve never been to City Museum, imagine if the LINC and Meow Wolf had a baby and then gave that baby unlimited access to slides, tunnels, climbing structures, and pure chaos. 😆

The fun continued at Main Event with dinner, a ropes course, bowling, arcade games, and several rounds of kids vs grownups laser tag. While there may be differing opinions about the overall series, history will officially record that the adults won the final round. We will not be accepting questions at this time. 😉

Back at the hotel, suitcases appeared, souvenirs started squeezing into every available space, and everyone began preparing for our final day and flight home tomorrow.

One more day to go, but what an incredible adventure it has already been! 🎶🏙️🐴🛝🎳🎯

Day 3 of the trip gave us a full day of adventure, a little Broadway magic, and a lot of miles on our feet! 🦁🎭

We spent the day at the St. Louis Zoo, exploring exhibits, visiting animals from around the world, and trying to fit as much as possible into every minute. By the end of the afternoon, we had seen everything from big cats and polar bears to tiny creatures and logged enough steps to rival the animals themselves!

After the zoo, we headed back to the hotel to freshen up and get dressed for the evening. Then it was off to a quick Mexican dinner in our private room before making our way to the Fox Theatre for Hadestown. The students experienced an incredible live performance filled with outstanding music, storytelling, and stagecraft.

When the show ended, we returned to the hotel for one final treat: the churros we wisely brought to go from dinner. After a day that started with penguins and ended with Broadway, those churros were the perfect finale.

Three days in, the memories keep growing, the energy somehow keeps going, and we’re all learning that a successful day can be measured in animal sightings, standing ovations, and churros. 🐻🌮🎶✨

Day 2 of our St. Louis tour was also packed from start to finish! 🎶🌟

After breakfast at the hotel, we headed to the Basilica for a choral clinic with Coach K. The students worked hard, learned a great deal, and had the opportunity to tour the Basilica and explore the museum afterward. We then enjoyed a walk to lunch before continuing our adventures.

The afternoon took us to the Gateway Arch, where we explored the museum, watched a video about its history, and then rode the tram all the way to the top. Standing 630 feet above St. Louis gave us some incredible views and plenty of photo opportunities! 📸

From there, we walked to the riverfront docks for a performance by the chorale before boarding a riverboat cruise on the Mississippi River. After dinner, we returned to the hotel where the students wrapped up the day with swimming, games, and lots of laughter.

By the end of the day, we had covered plenty of miles, learned a little history, shared our music with others, and made memories that will last long after the trip is over. 🚢🌉💙🎶

Day 1 of the Greeley Children’s Chorale trip is officially in the books! 🎶✈️

We kicked things off bright and early by meeting at Kohl’s at 5:30am… which honestly felt way too early for humans to function. 😅 From there, we flew to St. Louis, checked into the hotel, and then headed to Union Station where the kids packed about 3 days of fun into one evening—high ropes course, aquarium, maze of mirrors, selfie station, koi pond, Ferris wheel, carousel, fair rides—and somehow still enough energy to keep going.

By the time we made it back to the hotel around 10pm, we had a whole lot of tired feet, happy kids, and already so many great memories. Day 2, we’re ready for you! 🎡💙
