Our Ensembles program has grown and now has 3 ensembles to choose from:

🎵The TransHarmonic Choir provides a welcoming space for over 80 local individuals from the Trans, Intersex, and Gender Expansive communities to come together and explore their voices.

🎶The Orqueerstra invites the local LGBTQ+ community and their allies, regardless of their instrument or experience level, to collaborate in making music and advocating for their beliefs in a nurturing environment.

🎼The Q***r Choir is our newest space, created for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to come together and use their voices to advocate for their love and lives.

Our ensembles are always free to join and open to all experience levels! We hope to see yall there ✨️

The Q***r Choir officially begins meeting Sunday, August 16th and one of our first performance pieces is the Shia LaBeouf song (linked below)!

JEDI’s Q***r Choir is a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to come together and use their voices to advocate for their love and lives.
The Q***r Choir is 18+ and meets First and Third Sundays at 2 PM (with occasional fifth Sunday meetings when needed). Doors open at 1:45 PM.
Participate once a year or every meeting, it's completely up to you! We have been given our space for free and want to be up front that the rehearsals take place within a church. It is a church run by LGBTQ+ individuals and we trust the space implicitly. If it is a problem for you please do reach out - we are tracking the balance between supporting the community and figuring out how to run an ensemble with few resources. The rehearsals take place at First Congregational Church in Greeley: 2101 16th street, Greeley, CO 80631. No auditions are required - this is a community first space. Feel free to just show up or email us if you have any questions or concerns. Voice parts are by choice in whatever octave singers feel comfortable in. Part are more based on difficulty than octave. Singers are welcome to change voice parts/octaves as often as they'd like.
The choir will have opportunities for performances but you are not required to perform to participate in the choir. Every year we have 2 seasons: Pride season from January to July with performances in June and July and Fall season from August to January with performances for Thanksgiving, Winter Holidays, and Q***r in the New Year. Greeley Pride 2026 is coming up fast and we still need volunteers!
This Saturday we have volunteer opportunities from 9 AM to 6 PM. The event runs from 12 to 5 PM inside the Aims Community College Welcome Center. If you are available, we would love the help. Nico Lang is an award-winning nonbinary journalist and author specializing in LGBTQ+ issues, particularly the lives of transgender and gender-nonconforming youth. Known for empathetic, on-the-ground reporting, they authored American Teenager (2024), documenting the experiences of trans teens across the U.S.. Lang is a GLAAD Media Award winner and frequent contributor to VICE, NBC News, and Them.

📣 Ward 1 residents: now is the time to step up and serve your community. The City of Greeley is accepting applications to fill the vacant Ward 1 City Council seat through April 17, 2026.

If you’re ready to make a difference, complete the City’s Boards and Commissions application and select “Councilmember Ward 1” from the dropdown menu. The City expects to fill the vacancy in early to mid-May.

We’re excited to share that we’re hosting our first ever Q***r Prom in Greeley in honor of Trans Week of Celebration!
This event is free, sober, and open to ages 18+!
Tuning Into the Cosmos is a space-themed evening centered on music, connection, and showing up fully as yourself. This event is in collaboration with JEDI Greeley and will function as a silent disco. Each attendee will receive a pair of wireless headphones and can switch between different DJ channels throughout the night, choosing the music and volume that fits their vibe. You can be dancing to one playlist while the person next to you is tuned into something completely different. It creates a really unique, shared experience.
Whether prom was everything you hoped for or something you never got to experience the way you wanted, this night is about reclaiming that moment in community. Dress celestial, dress cosmic, dress however makes you feel most out-of-this-world!
