I’m thrilled to share that our Non-Sporting Club Show yesterday was a huge success! Every year, our entry numbers continue to grow, and this year was no exception. Judge Randy Garren was so impressed by the quality of the entries, saying, "The quality of the group is just loaded, it will be a privilege to judge!" This speaks volumes about the dedication and effort from the fancy involved in our area.
A special thank you goes to Marty Housley, Trophy Chair and James Cooper for the trophies and goody bags, as well as their hard work in setting up the beautiful table layouts. They also brought in the club equipment, setting up and breaking down, and assisted me in selling catalogs. In addition to serving as Show Chair, I brought a new club cooler and drinks for the ring.
We had an AKC Certified Chief Ring Steward in Joan Gaunt and it showed! Assistant Show Chair Amy Sorbie was ringside with me, and kindly stepped in to Steward during Joan's lunch break. Gretchen Dirks, our Treasurer, was on hand with the checkbook to handle payment needs. A big thank you to Mary DeLisa for bringing the ring cleanup supplies and judging Junior Handlers, and to Troy Jensen for announcing the Groups, and for judging the Puppy Group. The day ran so smoothly.
A special shoutout to the many Tibetan Terrier folks who made the drive up from their National Week in Colorado Springs to be at the Tibetan Terrier Club of America Supported Entry at our Group Show. We also had a large Supported Entry of the Rocky Mountain Keeshond Club. We can't thank you all enough for your support!
It would be a mistake not to mention the outstanding and delicious hospitality spread of charcuterie and ch*****ne that Cindy Vogels provided for Group time.
It was wonderful to see so many club members participating in the show, and I was grateful to see so many familiar faces in person.
I want to thank you for being such a awesome club. I appreciate each and every one of you!
