In honor or I wanted to share these 2 verses. Fear, anxiety, and depression, can all rob us of sleep. But these two verses, remind us that God does want us to rest in peace and that by Him sustaining us we can face each new day! 🙏🏻💜

The Christian artist, Plumb, had a beautiful way of writing songs from the valley. This song is one I listened to frequently while living in abuse, but I also have a very specific memory with song.

There was a day my ex was working on a project, and as usual that meant I was his forced assistant in the project. Twice he needed me to go to Lowe’s to get something for him, which filled me with fear because I didn’t know if I would do it right and then it would be even worse when I get home. On the second trip to Lowe’s, I listened to this song. And then I just sat in the parking lot for a few minutes, listening to it on repeat sobbing and crying out to God how much I needed Him in that moment! I so related to the lyrics, “how many times have you given me strength to just keep breathing” deeply.

The su***de awareness phrase of “it’s ok if all you can do today is breathe” is so true! If you’re in a dark place today, may this song remind you that, even in the valley, even in the struggle, you can cry out to God and He WILL be with you, just like His presence was with me in my car that day! 🙏🏻❤️

I was just talking to a friend about this last week. 1 Cor. 13:5 clearly tells us “Love does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered…” So why have Christian women been taught for so long just to endure the man’s bad behavior? 💔😭 That was NEVER God‘s design for marriage!

You’ve probably heard someone say “Jesus loves you” before, and not thought much about it. But these 3 simple words, from 1 John 4:8, got me through some of my darkest days. God IS love is a very different statement than God loves you. God, the Creator of all things, put the desire for love inside all of us, because it is WHO He is! That means there is no person so bad, so hurt, so abused, so wrecked, so devastated that He can’t pick up and hold in His love. Even if the people who were supposed to show you love the most failed (spouse, parents, siblings) God never stopped loving you! Because GOD IS LOVE!! ❤️ 🙏🏻
