Friday, April 3rd is National Fentanyl Bereaved Sibling Day. This is for our kids, our children that had to learn to live without their sibling as they were lost to this horrific drug.

Losing anyone is hard enough, but to lose a brother or a sister is just something no one could ever be prepared for. ❤️‍🩹 Lets honor them.

This day is a powerful reminder that fentanyl poisoning does not just take one life, it deeply impacts entire families, especially siblings who carry that loss every day.

No time will EVER be enough TIME. But any time behind bars to get these dealers off the streets is a win to protect the ones we love. These dealers deserved life, when a life was taken away. They didnt just deal a pill for a paycheck or to fuel their own selfish addictions, they dealt a death sentence to our daughter. 💔

“This case should be a warning to drug users and dealers alike. Using even the smallest amount of fentanyl can have deadly consequences. Dealing this dangerous drug can put you in federal prison for a very long time.”

On Wednesday this week, my husband and I spent 5 hours in a Federal courtroom in Denver, Colorado.

3 days ago, the two dealers in Jaydynn 's case were sentenced after 4 years, 4 months and 15 days. It should never take this long for justice to be served for the loss of our daughters life.

We faced those responsible for taking Jayd away from her family, and from her siblings and looked them in their faces.

The first dealer (female) was sentenced to 12 years, and this afternoon the 2nd dealer (male) was sentenced to 14 years plus 10 years probation afterwards. We are happy with the outcome as both were longer sentences than we thought they would get, as our initial hearing was for a minimum of 10 years. However, NO AMOUNT of time served will ever be enough.

This case was postponed previously due to the judge not liking that sentence thinking it was too much time, but he heard Brendan speak and saw the bigger picture for these crimes and the life lost and tried to give justice not only for our family and Jaydynn's life but for others who may have been affected too.

This wasn't just about us anymore, but about saving all those we love in the future too in our daughters honor.

We learned some details from the hearing we did not know before, but are glad to close this chapter and continue to heal for our family.

1.7 MILLION counterfeit fentanyl pills 💊 found in a Highlands Ranch storage unit yesterday after an auction. Colorado families and friends, this is right in our backyard‼️ If youre not alarmed, you should be.

This was a RECORD BREAKING SEIZURE. Half of one tiny pill was all ot took to take our child's life. The time is NOW to talk to your loved ones, your children, your friends and get educated on this deadly drug.

Great job to the individual who immediately reported it, and to Douglas Country PD for the seizure to ensure these drugs never reach the streets or our loved ones! This was the largest one-time seizure in Colorado history, and the 6th largest single seizure of fentanyl pills in US history.

Fentanyl took our daughters life in July of 2021, Jaydynn was and will always be, forever 16. ❤️‍🩹 Just want to say GREAT JOB to the Evans Police Department and getting this crap OFF THE STREETS!!!👏🏼 Any amount gone is lives saved. 🙏🏻
