Long Island Sephardic Center We aim to create a lasting center for peace, harmony and understanding among all jews through
the sharing of information about the Sephardic culture.

The L.I.S.C will serve as a center of the advancement of Jewish Religious and Cultural awareness through a combination of informal education, religious, recreational and cultural activities; through research, education and community participation we will expand knowledge by sharing our Torah heritage and the Sephardic traditions to all. The L.I.S.C will promote appreciation for Jewish Religion an

d culture, encourage creative growth of new ideas relating to Jewish Culture and to facilitate interaction between and among scholars of the Jewish faith from all origins (Sephardic or Ashkenazi )

By creating such a center of learning and sharing our rich tradition we will honor the contributions of our ancestors and encourage future generations to explore and continue to respect and revere their religious identity and culture. We hope to create a lasting center for peace, harmony and understanding among all Jews, as well as exemplary community life, interacting with the general society through the sharing of information about the Sephardic Culture.
