Since you asked...There are two ways to donate to Wadsworth Pond projects. You can mail a check payable to SRWG at "SRWG, PO Box 1057, Great Falls, 59403" - be sure to put "Wadsworth" in the comment or add a note so we know it's for the park. Or you can donate using this link: https://www.sunriverwatershed.org/wadsworth

The Sun River Watershed Group is a 501c3 nonprofit. We keep Wadsworth Pond funds in a separate account so they are only used for Wadsworth projects.

Who gets excited about toilets? We do! There's now a new place to "go" at Wadsworth Pond! Thanks to a donation from Howard and Shawna Strause!

Since 2024, our group has fixed pond banks, installed two pavilions, installed three toilets, added picnic tables and trash cans, put in a new fishing dock, planted trees for windbreaks, and added three dog waste stations.

Thank you to Howard and Shawna Strause, Great Falls Park and Recreation, Friends of Great Falls Chapter of Walleyes, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 4, Sun River Watershed Group, Missouri River Flyfishers, Electric City Disc Golf Club, Scheels of Great Falls, and anyone else we missed. It truly takes a village!

Wadsworth Park reopens tomorrow!

WADSWORTH PARK REOPENING TOMORROW
Wadsworth Park will reopen tomorrow and return to its regular schedule.
Visitors may notice the Montana DEQ caution signs pictured below posted around Wadsworth Pond. We ask everyone visiting the park to review and follow the recommendations on these signs regarding the potential presence of blue-green algae.
Please use caution around the water, keep pets away from any visible algae, and avoid swimming or recreating in areas where blue-green algae is present.
The remainder of Wadsworth Park will be open for normal recreational use, including walking, disc golf, picnicking, pavilion use, and other park activities.
Thank you for your cooperation, and enjoy Wadsworth Park safely!
City of Great Falls Park & Recreation.

UPDATE: The park is closed at the moment, not just the pond. Sorry for confusion if you received our newsletter that said otherwise. I just clarified with the park manager. Hopefully they won't have to keep it closed for too long.

Until further notice, please stay out of the water at Wadsworth Pond - pets, too.
