Congratulations, Jomarie Phelan Bliss!!!

As we near Homecoming Week, Sept. 30 through Oct. 5, the MSU Alumni Foundation will announce honorees of its annual Homecoming Awards and Blue and Gold Awards.
These awards recognize alumni who attain distinctive success in his or her chosen field or profession and/or perform outstanding service to their community. Honorees will receive their awards during a ceremony scheduled as part of Montana State's Homecoming week.
Today we recognize Jomarie Bliss '95 as a recipient of the alumni achievement award.
Jomarie received a bachelor’s degree from Montana State University majoring in business and French. She also received a French Studies Diplôme from Alliance Française Paris, France; an MBA and master’s in marketing from the University of Maryland; and a Ph.D. in business from the University of Denver. Jomarie currently works for Newell Brands and is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Denver teaching graduate and undergraduate business classes.
Jomarie’s experience volunteering and supporting MSU began in 1996 when she was the President of the Montana Society and National Secretary of the Congressionally chartered National Conference of State Societies in the Washington, D.C. area. Jomarie has served as a Billings Chapter member since 2013, is chair of the MSU Alumni Foundation Alumni Engagement Board and member of the Board of Governors and Executive Committee. Jomarie also volunteers for the scholarship review committee and Legislative support. She has a son Bennett and lives in Billings.
