HOW DO I CLAIM A PROPERTY TAX REBATE?
Taxpayers may apply for their 2024 property tax rebate beginning August 15, 2025, by either submitting their claim online at getmyrebate.mt.gov or by paper form.
The 2024 property tax rebate claims must be filed by October 1, 2025.

So you have an issue with your taxes, what steps do you need to take? The first thing you should do is sign up for an online account with the IRS. This will help ensure you have access to your tax transcripts and notice information from the IRS. The next step should be to contact the IRS. If you received a notice, be sure to read the entire notice and follow the instructions for how to proceed. What you need:
🔸 Your social security number and name
🔸 Your property geocode (find this at svc.mt.gov/msl/cadastral/ or on your property tax bill)
🔸 Spouse's social security number and name
🔸 Knowledge of how much property tax you paid in 2024
🔸 Your mailing address and contact information
