Hi friends, please note that we are closed for “Spring Cleaning” thru Summer 2025.

The Observatory at Turner Farm Park will be temporarily closed starting March 15th for a bit of Spring Cleaning to better serve our community when we resume programming later this Summer. This pause includes all Parktakes classes and Fridays Night Observing sessions. Fairfax County Park Authority has already started communication with those who are registered for Spring courses. We thank everyone who has come out and supported Analemma Society at our various events and classes. We hope to see you all very soon in Summer 2025!

We had a huge turnout of 800+ visitors on Friday night (2/28) for the planetary alignment. We were not expecting such a huge crowd and would like to apologize to everyone that came out as we experienced difficulties navigating parking and crowd control. A great big shout out and thank you to Fairfax County Police Department who noticed our big backup and came out to make sure everyone was safe and even assisted us for awhile. We hope despite the crowds that you still had some fun and got to see some beautiful planets through our telescopes. Please tag us in your photos or share them with us in the comments.
