Lift Me Up! Therapeutic Riding

Lift Me Up! Therapeutic Riding LiftMeUp! is an equine-assisted facility providing safe and effective programs for those with varying abilities.

Celebrating 50+ years of service, our team of PATH-certified instructors, along with our volunteers and amazing herd, provide ~6,500 session hours of therapeutic riding and equine-facilitated wellness programs for more than 1,000 clients annually. We teach riding and horsemanship skills adapted to each rider’s cognitive and physical needs. Participation in riding programs has helped our students t

o sit or stand unassisted, walk independently, improve their focus and attention span, and enhance their social and communication skills. We also offer programs to improve the mental health and well being of teens and first responders. With the unique presence our therapy horses and the skills of our caring PATH-certified instructors, LiftMeUp! help participants gain confidence, strength and self-esteem in our friendly, fun environment.

A home is only one part of what makes a community thrive. Strong communities are built when people support one another, create opportunities, and invest in causes that improve lives.

That's why supporting organizations like Women Giving Back, The Women's Center, Lift Me Up!, and McLean Project for the Arts is so meaningful to us. Each one plays an important role in strengthening our community through confidence, wellness, inclusion, creativity, and connection.

Whether it's serving as a clothing donation drop-off location, supporting mental health resources, helping create opportunities for individuals with disabilities, or championing the arts, giving back is one way to help create a stronger future for everyone.

Meaningful communities don't happen by accident. They are built one relationship, one act of generosity, and one shared commitment at a time.

Lift Me Up! is deeply grateful for the Rotary Club of Great Falls, Virginia's generous support over the years, including this one! The annual Rotary Derby last month raised $12,160 for Lift Me Up! to help meet our mission of providing healing and joy to children and adults experiencing physical, intellectual, and emotional challenges. THANK YOU, ROTARY CLUB! Photo: Dana A. Johnston, Lift Me Up! Executive Director (left) and Dan Lundeen, Rotary Club Foundation Chair.
