One of summer's best light shows is happening at Mass Audubon Pleasant Valley next Saturday, June 27! Learn about lightning bugs during an evening walk in the meadows.

This is a program designed for families with children, so all registrations require at least one adult and one child.

Save the date for one of summer's best light shows. At Pleasant Valley on Saturday, June 27 watch the sanctuary come alive after dark. We'll learn what makes fireflies such incredible insects and then let our eyes adjust and follow the flashing lights on an evening walk in the meadows, keeping an eye out for stars, planets, and twilight wildlife along the way. It's a magical time to be at the sanctuary.

Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce that all enslaved people were free. In honor of the holiday, many offices and services in the Southern Berkshires will be closed.
