High Spirit is an intentional community where we share our lives with adults with intellectual disabilities. This is rewarding work on our 5 acre farm in Great Barrington, Massachusetts that blends caregiving, farming, and community integration to create meaningful lives for everyone who lives here. Both open positions come with full time housing.
Our Live In Direct Support Professional opening is great for someone who is newer to this field and looking to learn and grow. This job is mostly a caregiving role, though you will have opportunities to try out new things often. It is ideal for single people who can commit to at least one year, though the opportunity to stay longer is there as well. This can also be ideal for students taking classes online, or as an OPT year for those studying social service related fields. Our House Leader & Program Leader role is ideal for someone with some experience under their belt, so that is not required for the right candidate! It is also a role that can be ideal for two people, so couples are strongly encouraged to apply jointly! This role blends caregiving, with supervisory skills and advocacy.
