Does anyone in the neighborhood do updos or haircuts? I have a girl that I use in Alpharetta since that’s where we used to live but it’s very hard to get in with her and it’s so far. I would love to support somebody in the neighborhood that maybe cuts hair out of the neighborhood or know somebody right outside of the neighborhood that is really good with High recommendations. Just looking for somebody to do an updo to start with.

House at 520 Herring Road. I just spoke with the owner for several minutes. First, he was very nice and builds in Gwinnett County. The White House is sold and should close soon. Yes, he is building three other homes on the lots. Two driveways will be on Tennyson Trail. He is very aware that they are not part of WB. I told him we would have to do an entire neighborhood vote to annex them if that discussion came up. The grading and equipment should arrive in the next day or so…that should be fun. In addition, he was asked to continue the sidewalk to the entrance by zoning. Yes, he can use that property as it is not ours. He showed me pictures of the homes he will build. They are very nice and are as large or larger than ours with all brick fronts. They will be in the ONE MILLION range. Each lot will have their own septics. The vans are work vans per the owner. The road will be a mess with the construction but he said he will do his best to keep our hood neat as the building occurs.
Well, that is all folks. He was very open to my conversation. You are welcome to pass this information along to anyone who asks.

Hello neighbor!

It's time to establish our Woodland Brook HOA Board members and committees for next year. Officers and Committee members will be elected at the fall HOA meeting on Saturday, October 10th.

Here is the timeline:

Sept 25th - All nominations must be submitted using the link below.
Sept 30th - Ballots will be distributed to all residents in good standing. If you have not paid your dues for 2026 and prior years, you are not eligible to vote.
Oct 10th - Ballots will be counted and positions will be confirmed. Note, you will be able to vote by proxy if you are unable to attend the meeting.

Please use the link below to nominate yourself and/or someone in the neighborhood that is interested in volunteering to help the community. Once we receive the nominations, we will provide a written consent form to each of the nominees that will authorize their name to be added to the ballot.

We are all so disconnected these days. Between work, long hours, screens, busy schedules, and our homes having pretty much everything we need… how do we even gather anymore?

Chris and I are still fairly new to Woodland Brook. We have two daughters, 12 and 15, and a 19-year-old son whose 19-year-old roommate also lives with him in our basement apartment. We own a business, we work a lot, life stays busy… and yet we keep feeling like we just haven’t gotten to know enough of our neighbors.

So I had an idea.

Would anyone be interested in an old-fashioned FALL NEIGHBORHOOD POTLUCK? 🍂

Nothing fancy. Nothing overly organized.

Maybe we pick a cul-de-sac. Everyone brings their folding tables and chairs, we push the tables together and make one ridiculously long neighborhood table.

Bring your favorite dish. Bring a cooler with whatever you want to drink. Bring the kids. Come as you are.

And we just eat, talk, laugh, meet the people who live around us, and actually be neighbors for an evening.

No agenda. No big production. Just good food and people getting to know each other.

Is this an idea? Would anybody actually be up for it?
