The Lake County Beekeepers Association (LCBA) currently has about 125 members that cover Lake and the surrounding counties in Illinois. We meet the first Thursday of every month at the State Bank of the Lakes, 50 Commerce Drive, Grayslake, IL from 6:30 until 9pm. The purpose and function of the LCBA is to promote interest in honeybees and beekeeping by encouraging good beekeeping in Lake County Il

linois and the utilization of honeybees for pollination of agricultural crops. This purpose is accomplished through the dissemination of information and education about bees and beekeeping. The LCBA is a not for profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian organization. Any profits gained are used exclusively for educational purposes regarding bees and beekeeping in Lake County, Illinois. The Goals of the LCBA are:
a. To engage in educational and helpful activities focused on beekeeping and related activities as a common foundation. To learn more about honeybees, bee evolution, and beekeeping techniques. To promote the practice and enjoyment of beekeeping. To educate others about honeybees and beekeeping.
