Good morning river lovers!!. Sorry it’s been awhile for a post. Hope everyone survived the 50 year flood. We are still waiting for the river level to drop for safe wading!!! Have yet to see a riser by us in the Manistee!!! Oh well!

Nature is in full force birds singing and nesting! Foxes are out and about too!

Over here on the Manistee we have a frequent visitor!!! Another one came by earlier 5am!

Was just chatting with our Bear person, Tim. First bears have been seen around the Manistee River.

Time to clean up the yard of discarded birdseed, take in bird feeders now and keep your trash cans or trash locked up. And please do not knowingly feed the bears.

He said with all this water that will displace more bears out of the swamps.

The bears remember food sources, keeping that at an extreme minimum will not keep them around.

Good morning ...our sister river the Mansitee is continuing the same course as the Au Sable.

Watching our river is paralyzing to me.

These are extremely dangerous levels, river activities should not be considered right now.

More rain on the way.😲

River lovers….we are at 50 years highs on the Au Sable, hearing this from many long time folks.

Please be safe many roads all around northern Michigan are washed out or have high water or are closed!

Predictions of even more rain is in the forecast in the next few days 😲.

I only ventured to a safe place….I heard Gates say it’s the highest ever on record!

Traditional opening day of trout season will certainly have a different look.
