The Rapid Overdose Response System is a new Families Against Narcotics project that aims to provide prescription drug misuse (PDM) education, increase the use of PDM data for the purpose of enhancing real-time decision-making, and deploy naloxone/prevention resources throughout the state of Michigan. This is a 5-year project made possible by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). To assist us in the project, we're asking you to take a community assessment survey. The goal of this survey is to strategically target prescription drug misuse education sessions and naloxone training/distribution in communities across the state. Did you know that FAN's Hope Not Handcuffs program is available through the Crawford County Sheriff's Office and Grayling Department of Public Safety? If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, you can go to either of those locations and ask for help. Or call FAN's Hope Line at 833-202-HOPE (4673). FAN will then compassionately connect you to the recovery resources you need and deserve. 💙

This week, 30 men and women were provided with compassionate support and recovery resources to help them get started on their recovery journeys. We wish them nothing but good things as they begin to leave the past behind and make positive changes in their lives. Thank you to volunteer Angels Doug H. and Sherry L. for assisting us with the intake process. We also appreciate the collaboration of the following law enforcement agencies/community partners: McLaren Macomb Hospital, Gratiot County Jail; and the COMEBACK Quick Response Teams from Center Line Public Safety, Ferndale Police Department, Sterling Heights Police Department, Oak Park Michigan, Department of Public Safety, and Saginaw Police Department. 💙😇
