The Georgia District Fall Council was held at the Legacy Lodge and Conference Center at Lake Lanier on October 2-3, 2026. Pilot members attending from Jones County included Wanda Bush, Beth C**n, Esther Foster, Kathryn Jackson, Cindy Jones, Fay Mathews, and Nancy McCook. Everyone enjoyed the Friday night "Welcome Party - "Elvis Is in the Building". We were entertained by Elvis, and there was lots of dancing that made for a fun night.
On Saturday, Mary Turner did the Call to Order, and Jacque Hatcher, Georgia District Governor, presided. One of the highlights was our morning speaker, Eric Redmon, who was introduced by Greg Jarvis, Eric's former teacher. Eric shared how he went from being a normal 16-year-old to someone fighting for his life. The Live Auction followed, and the Silent Auction Winners were announced. Following Closing Remarks and Announcements, Pilot Members sang "Sail On International" and then Mary Turner adjourned Fall Council.

The Pilot Club completed the September Fingerprinting project today with fifty-one Gray Elementary School Kindergarten students being weighed, measured, and fingerprinted. At the completion, students were given their information packets to take home to their parents. There were 12 Pilot members who assisted with this project.

We appreciate the Gray Police Personnel doing the fingerprinting for this club project. They were presented delicious Red Velvet Cupcakes made by Pilot member, Kathy Jackson.

At the conclusion of fingerprinting, the Food Service Personnel were presented Dairy Queen gift cards as a token of appreciation for their role as caregivers in all that they do for students, teachers, and school personnel.

Pilot Club members delivered four Pick Me-Ups to three individuals and one couple on Wednesday. They all received yellow roses arranged by Beth C**n, and one recipient also received a $25 Dairy Queen gift card. Members brought upcoming project donations to the September meeting. Thirty-nine members brought both shoes and socks for DFCS, and those donations were delivered on Wednesday with Stephannie Brown and Brandi Cunningham receiving them. Thank you to those who donated. At the conclusion of fingerprinting at Turner Woods Elementary, Cheryl Jean, presented the Sheriff's personnel with special cupcakes baked by Pilot member, Kathy Jackson. The club wanted to show them our appreciation. We also presented DQ gift cards to the cafeteria staff.

The Pilot Club met on Tuesday, September 22nd, with 51 members in attendance. The clubhouse and the tables were decorated in a “birthday” theme with the month or months labeled, and members sat at their birthday table. After the welcome, devotional, and the Pledge members enjoyed a delicious Debbie Scarbrough dinner. After dinner, Denise Partee, Membership Chairman, initiated new member, Leigh Stanford. We extend a big welcome to Leigh. Following the initiation Jody Faulkner and Danielle led the group in a game of trivia based around the birthday theme. Everyone enjoyed the game, and we all learned something new. A business meeting following. Thank you to all who brought donations for our upcoming projects.

The September Fingerprinting project continued at our second elementary school, Dames Ferry, with 10 Pilot members participating and 51 students fingerprinted. At the completion of the project, Kathy Jackson and Pilot members presented the cafeteria caregivers Dairy Queen gift cards to let them know they are appreciated.

A Talk Pilot meeting was held on Tuesday, September 15th, at the home of Beth C**n. Our gracious hostess provided yummy finger foods, and Debbie Scarbrough supplied delicious desserts. It was a lively group of 20 Pilots with lots of conversation. We appreciate Beth for hosting and giving us such a good opportunity for a make-up meeting as well as a chance to learn more about each other, the club, and Pilot International.
