The Pilot Club’s May Picnic meeting was held on May 26th, at Marianne Bivin’s cabin, and we appreciate Marianne’s hospitality. Pilot members welcomed our scholarship winner, Sophia Hudson and her parents. Our other scholarship winner, Aaron Varnadoe, wasn’t able to attend. After dinner Sophia was presented the Miriam Ethridge scholarship, and she shared information about herself and her future plans. It was a big night for Pilot as Membership Chairman, Denise Partee initiated two new members, Tammy Sibley, sponsored by Marcia Loyd and Paula Jiles, sponsored by Pam Dixon. The business meeting followed, and members were reminded of planning meetings for Projects and Fundraising on Thursday, May 28th.

The Pilot Club met on Tuesday, April 28, with 51 members and 2 guests in attendance. After the welcome, devotional, and the Pledge of Allegiance the members enjoyed a delicious Debbie Scarbrough meal. Following the meal, Robbie Walker, of the Ronald McDonald House, shared the history, the purpose and the growth of the facility over the years. We were also reminded of ways that we can donate and/or volunteer. What a good reminder it was for all of us to realize how fortunate we are to have this amazing facility in Central Georgia. We appreciate our members bringing supplies for the Ronald Donald House, and we thank Robby and his wife, Brandi for delivering those items.
The business meeting followed, and at the conclusion of the meeting our two guests will be joining. We welcome Tammy Sibley and Paula Jiles.
