Jones County 4-H had a great time learning and serving at the Cloverleaf Conference at Rock Eagle! We had seven participants and five teen leaders. Our cloverleaf 4-H’ers had a blast and our teen leaders did an outstanding job with their lessons. Thank you so much to our teen leaders Anna Sneed, Brooke Holmes, Claire Allen, Trace Thibodeaux, and Annabelle Welsher!

💥 ATTENTION JONES COUNTY 4-H SH***UN TEAM!
💥 Here are all the details for the upcoming sh***un season. Returning shooters are welcome to register from October 26th-November 13th. New shooter registration will be from November 16th-January 15th.
💥 All 6th-12th graders are welcome, no experience required!
💥 Registration fee is $250 which covers a team jersey, a team t-shirt, targets for the season, and two practice rounds per practice.
💥 A MANDATORY safety meeting will be held at 1:00 on February 7th at The Barn at Wolf Creek. The first practice will follow. Sunday Practices will continue for the duration of the season at 2:00. Once the time changes on March 14th, two additional practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30.
💥 The tentative date for the state qualifying match is April 24th at The Barn at Wolf Creek. The state match will be May 8th at the Georgia National Fairgrounds.
💥 Required Items: Sh***un (12 or 20 gauge), shells for practice (one box per practice), safety glasses, ear plugs, close toed shoes, and appropriate clothing.
💥 Participants are also required to have their hunter safety permit. This can be obtained online through https://georgiawildlife.com/hunting/huntereducation

💥 If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Jones County Extension Office or the head sh***un coach, George Luther. 💥 And don't forget about our "Interest Afternoon" which will be held October 25th at 2:00 at The Barn at Wolf Creek! This session will be a great chance for new shooters to come and find out more information and get all your questions answered!

🍀 4-H Superheroes Assemble! Calling all 6th-8th graders! It’s time to activate your powers because registration is open for Junior Conference!
🦸‍♂️Join us November 14-15, 2026, at Rock Eagle 4-H Center for an awesome weekend full of learning, leadership, and fun. This year’s event features an exciting superhero theme designed by our Junior Board of Directors!
🦸‍♀️Here's what to expect for the weekend:
• Learn: Dive into exciting educational workshops and sessions.
• Serve: Participate in community service projects and explore unique exhibits.
• Dance & Have Fun: Meet and hang out with youth from all across Georgia during recreational activities.

🍀Registration for Cloverleaf Conference 2026 is open!
🙋Cloverleaf Conference is an opportunity for 4-H members in 4th-6th grades to come together to meet new friends and have a fun learning experience!
🍕They will have exciting classes, a pizza party, games, and recreation!

🚌We will depart from the Jones County Extension Office at 3:15. Estimated time of arrival back at the office 8:30.
