In two weeks we are headed to Vietnam and will visit this group of blind people who work packing toothpicks and as licensed pressure point massage therapists. Each time we visit we help provide what they need most for tools to run the facility. In the past we've provided a water heater, shower, steam room, and heat-pump. They have three rooms with a total of eleven massage tables. Each heat-pump unit costs $500 plus installation. We need two more units! Please donate what you can to help us provide the two additional units.

There are many people who work there, and we have not yet met them all They are intelligent, hardworking, and have a wonderful sense of humor. They get paid very little. Some live at the facility, others don't. The massage only cost $2 or $3 an hour, of which they only receive about $1.

We are hoping to raise $1,500. Times are difficult around the world, please help as you can.

100% of your donation goes directly to the people you want to help.

We are very proud of the fact that every donation dollar collected is given to a struggling family in Vietnam. We do not use your donations to pay salaries, expenses, etc. My family personally pays the operating expenses of the foundation as well as all travel and any other expense. We volunteer our time so there are no paid salaries.

We do this for one very simple reason. My heart breaks for the sick children, broken women, and hopeless families.

We have much to be proud of and happy about. Since our beginning in 2004, we have helped destitute women and impoverished families by providing homes, food, education, health care, and seed capital for family retail business.

Please visit our website for more information. And please help us with your generous donation.

As a young girl growing up in the village of D**g Ha, Xanh (pronounced “Sun”) experienced the best and worst of the Vietnam / U.S. experience. Because of D**g Ha’s strategic location (next to the DMZ and inland waterways) it experienced a significant U.S. military presence. For this same reason the Viet Cong forces had a similar interest in D**g Ha.

As a teenager Xanh (nicknamed Lynn & Lilly) worked on U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine bases washing soldier’s laundry and cleaning their living quarters (h***h). Growing up in a well respected family and having made many good friends among American solders Lilly is grateful to this day for the respect and protection of her innocence she received. As beautiful innocent teenagers Lilly and her sister “Freddie” were the objects of affection of many a young GI. Raised in a society that would kill or banish a girl who had inappropriate contact with any boy (U.S. or Vietnamese) Lilly’s childhood was one of adventure, excitement, and constant fear. With rocket craters in her yard, Lilly would sweep burning debris from the roof during rocket attacks and flares to prevent the house from burning down. As a youth soldier Lilly would have to guard the village at night against intruders. The details are far more disturbing. In the words of Charles Dickens “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times”. Despite the horrors of war, Xanh has far more fond memories than otherwise.
