👏

The Build My Future NWA team delivered grant checks to recipient schools this week, including Gravette High School This year’s grant helped purchase new MIG welders and consumables for hands-on learning. 🛠️

Pictured representing Build My Future NWA are: Steve Turner and Daniel Kelly from Multi-Craft Contractors, Inc., and Christy Townsend from Crafton Tull.

Thank you to our sponsors, exhibitors, and supporters for helping put tools in students’ hands and giving them opportunities to build skills for their future careers! 🙌

It’s been a busy few weeks for Gravette FFA, and we have a little catching up to do! Between Homecoming, chapter meetings, and preparing for National FFA Convention next week, our members have been keeping us on our toes!

🏆 Benton County Fair: Congratulations to all of our FFA members who exhibited at the Benton County Fair! We had several students bring home blue ribbons and champion honors. We’re proud of the hard work they put into their projects and the way they represented Gravette FFA!

🐴 APHA Horse Judging Contest: Four of our horse judging team members—Maddilyn Vollweider, Anna Brown, Madison Blum, and Adison Brown—traveled to Fort Worth, Texas, to compete in an APHA youth judging contest!

This was a great opportunity for our members to experience a collegiate-level contest, compete against some tough competition, and continue sharpening their judging skills. While we didn’t bring home any major awards this time, the experience provided plenty of opportunities for learning and growth as we prepare for the upcoming contest season.

We’re proud of all of our members for continuing to work hard, challenge themselves, and represent Gravette FFA so well! 💙💛

🏰✨ Happy Homecoming from Gravette FFA!

This year’s Homecoming theme was “Once Upon a Homecoming,” and our FFA members brought some Disney magic to the parade!

Our float featured the best of both worlds, with Disney princesses on one side and villains on the other. Even better, our members got to show off the trailer they built themselves in our ag shop!

A lot of hard work and creativity went into bringing this float to life, and taking home first place was a great way to top it all off!

A big thank you to all of our members who helped make it happen!

💙🧡 Go Lions!

Last Thursday was National Day! 🌱

To celebrate, FFA members Jackson Bitner and Will Gillespie traveled to the University of Arkansas to explore opportunities in agricultural education!

The Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences organized a day full of activities with the Arkansas FFA State Officer Team, University of Arkansas agricultural education students, and university faculty. Jackson and Will had the opportunity to learn more about careers in agricultural education, the college pathway, and what it takes to become an ag teacher.

It was a great opportunity for our students to get a firsthand look at where a career in ag education could take them, and of course, we made time to check out a few campus highlights while we were there! 🐗

We’re excited to see the next generation of agricultural educators getting a glimpse into this rewarding career!

What a way to start the year! 💙💛 More than 200 FFA members and guests joined us for our first Gravette FFA meeting of the year last week.

Our officer team shared updates on the new greenhouse and Plant Systems pathway, fundraisers, LDE and CDE practices, membership dues, and gear orders.

The highlight of the meeting was a visit from representatives of Arvest Bank in Gravette, who presented Gravette FFA with a $10,000 grant! Half will support our officer team’s trip to National FFA Convention, where Gravette will be recognized as a National Three Star Chapter. The other $5,000 will help purchase supplies for our new greenhouse. Thank you, Arvest Bank, for investing in our students!

After the business portion of the meeting, members enjoyed pizza, pickleball, and other games in the courtyard. It was a great start to the year! 🌱
