MITER Foundation

MITER Foundation The MI Charitable Foundation is a partner organization of MI Windows and Doors, LLC.

The MITER Foundation is a non-profit focused on the betterment of communities in which MITER Brands operates, as well as supporting a number of national organizations. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide monetary and volunteer support to local and national charitable organizations and community needs. Funds are raised by multiple, corporate level events such as the annual Charity Golf Out

ing and the Summer Concert Series, as well as by outreach committees at each of the six MI Windows and Doors locations. Each outreach committee organizes fundraising events to support our national beneficiaries as well as their local communities. From leading a painting event in partnership with the Four Diamonds fund, to putting teams together for charity softball tournaments, and from penny wars to sandwich sales, our committees are enabled and empowered to organize and participate in events they feel will add value to our efforts. In addition to fundraising and giving, our team members volunteer their time by assisting at food banks, helping to landscape for Homes for Our Troops, supporting local activities, and more. We are proud to provide financial support to both the Four Diamonds Fund and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, as both organizations unceasingly fight to end childhood cancer. Their efforts in research and treatment, as well as their promise that no family will face financial burdens for their child’s treatment is are monumental testaments to the integrity of both organizations. Our partnership with Homes for our Troops allows us to provide the windows that are installed in the specially-adapted homes the HFOT builds across the country. This partnership is not only a privilege, but a duty, as it allows us to play a small part in honoring our Veterans who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. We would like to thank our business partners, community members, and team members for the continued support of our charitable efforts.

Members of our Prescott Valley Committee recently spent time at Camp Rainbow, bringing a little extra color and joy to the experience through a window painting activity. 💙

Camp Rainbow, presented by Phoenix Children's, provides children facing cancer and blood disorders with the opportunity to enjoy the fun, friendship, and unforgettable memories that every child deserves. We were honored to play a small part in helping create a welcoming and uplifting environment for campers and their families.

Seeing the smiles, creativity, and excitement throughout the day was a powerful reminder of the impact that simple acts of kindness can have.

We’re proud to support programs like Camp Rainbow that bring moments of joy, connection, and hope to children navigating difficult journeys.

Members of our Dallas Committee recently had the privilege of attending the Make-A-Wish North Texas Wish Night Gala, an evening centered around something truly powerful—bringing hope to children facing critical illnesses and the families who walk beside them. 💙

Throughout the evening, supporters came together to help make wishes possible, each one representing a moment of joy, strength, and hope for a child navigating an incredibly difficult journey.

It was a moving reminder that sometimes the greatest gift we can give is the chance for a family to focus on making memories, finding moments of happiness, and simply being together.

May is Gold Star Awareness Month—a time to honor the families of servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Last month, the Pennsylvania Gold Star Families Memorial Monument was officially dedicated on the state capitol grounds, creating a lasting place of remembrance, reflection, and honor for the families who carry these legacies forward.

We are proud to share footage from this meaningful day and to help ensure these sacrifices are never forgotten. 💙

Team members from our Sacramento committee recently came together to help create a more welcoming and comfortable space for women and children served by My Sister’s House. 💙

During a volunteer day at a local safe home, the team built furniture, planted a garden, and refreshed the front yard to create a space tenants can truly enjoy and feel at home in.

This project was the culmination of our partnership with My Sister’s House, an organization dedicated to providing emergency shelter and support for women and children in times of crisis. Earlier this year, our Sacramento team also collected hundreds of cleaning supply donations to help provide a “Clean Start” for the families they serve.

Over the past few months, our Temperance Committee has been busy showing up for their community in so many meaningful ways. 💙

From supporting the kickoff of a Homes For Our Troops build, to hosting fundraisers like Super Bowl Squares and a St. Patrick’s Day 50/50, each effort has helped give back in different ways. Along the way, the team also partnered with local organizations—packing lunches with Food for Thought, supporting Bobbie’s Staff food pantry, and preparing a meal for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

They even brought everyone together closer to home with a pancake breakfast—complete with the Easter Bunny—where team members and their families donated items and supported animals at Homer’s Helpers.

It’s been a season full of generosity, connection, and community—and we’re proud of the Temperance team for the many ways they continue to make a difference.

Our Gratz Outreach Team recently spent an evening at the Ronald McDonald House “Ladies Night Out,” supporting an event that brings people together for a shared purpose—caring for families navigating medical challenges.

It was a special night filled with connection, generosity, and a strong sense of community, all in support of the families who rely on Ronald McDonald House for comfort and stability during difficult times.

Proud to stand alongside a community that continues to show up for families when it matters most. 💙

Some partnerships leave a lasting mark on a community—and our relationship with Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters is one of them. 💙

As we recently looked back through local records and memories shared by longtime team members, we discovered that our involvement with BBBS dates all the way back to the mid-1980s. What began with Bowl for Kids’ Sake at Plaza Bowl in Prescott grew into decades of support, connection, and community impact.

Former Better Bilt team members still remember those early bowling events fondly—not just for the fundraising, but for the camaraderie and friendly competition between departments as teams came together for a great cause. From storm door donations in the 90s to team sponsorships throughout the years, this partnership has continued to grow right alongside our community.

Today, Bowl for Kids’ Sake lives on at Antelope Lanes in Prescott Valley, carrying forward a tradition that has now spanned nearly 40 years.

It’s incredibly meaningful to reflect on the generations of team members, volunteers, and community partners who helped make this legacy possible—and we’re proud to continue supporting the life-changing work of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prescott.

Our Venice Committee and PGT team recently spent time together at a pajama rolling party in partnership with the Casey Cares Foundation, preparing over 300 brand-new pairs of pajamas for children facing critical illnesses.

It was a simple, hands-on way to support an organization that creates moments of comfort, joy, and normalcy for families going through incredibly difficult times.

We’re grateful to work alongside partners like Casey Cares and to play a small part in helping bring a bit of warmth to the children and families they serve. 💙
