Do you want to be a Fireman?
Welcome to the official Gratis Fire Cadet Program page! If you are between the age or have a child between the age of 14-17, you can apply to be a fire cadet! We use our cadet program to teach and prepare interested and curious kids to be the next generation of fire fighters. Cadets participate in department training, events, and ages 16 - 17 are able to go on calls with the department. Our program is open to any child in the Gratis, Gratis township, West Elkton, and surrounding areas. So if you have an interest in firefighting and want to train to become one, or are just interested in more information on our program, call, email, or FB message us. You can also come up to the Gratis Fire Department Meetings that are help every Monday at 7pm.
