Shepherding well affects all areas of our lives and families

Some of the most important shepherding moments arrive without warning. That's exactly what Derek Jacobsen and his daughter Katie Baatz experienced when she came to him in a vulnerable moment, unsure how he would receive what she had to share. In the space between hearing and answering, Derek chose to respond with love rather than react in the moment, and what could have strained their close bond only cemented it. I pray you'll take a few moments to listen as they share how that choice built trust, deepened their relationship, and showed what Provision, Protection, and Presence look like with our adult children.

The shepherding message continues to inspire leaders to share it within their churches and communities, with one workshop prompting church leadership to pursue further training and a participant encouraging its wider use throughout the region. A separate connection with a couple exploring Christian education also opened an opportunity to help them build shepherding principles into their future school. These encouraging responses show how God is using the message to equip leaders and inspire multiplication in new settings.
